Flourishing through creative enquiry

The Human Factor

On their journey towards becoming doctors, students learn to present patient ‘cases’ through an impersonal passive voice which risks losing what is particular and meaningful to both patient and student. Whereas traditional medical training silences personal voice, creative enquiry brings balance by facilitating the articulation of voice, that is, the expression of personal, situated ways of seeing and reflecting on lived experiences.

This website celebrates human flourishing through the creative arts and emerges out of years of collaborative creative enquiry experience crossing a variety of communities such as medical education, patient care and educator development.
